Bon Jovi finally returned to Australia after 5 long years for a 4 date tour
in Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane and Sydney.
The weather was a bit humid but warm as the impending wet weather started to
close in but in the end it held off until after midnight.
They opened with This House is Not For Sale then Knockout followed by the
older hit You Give Love a Bad Name then Whole Lotta Leavin. Lost
Highway and We Werent Born to Follow were next followed by another new song
in Rollercoaster and Who Says you Cant Go Home. Unfortunately the
casual fans wouldnt have been familiar with a lot of the newer songs (ie
anything after 2000) as radio tends to only play the older hits despite Bon
Jovi have another 2 decades of songs after that time that could be played.
Born to be My Baby and Its My Life got even the casual fans on their feet
before God Bless This Mess from the latest album and We Dont Run from the
lesser known Burning Bridges (which was only toured in Asia/Middle East in
2015). Crowd favourites were next in Keep the Faith and Bed of Roses
before Lay Your Hands On Me which has returned to the playlist this year
followed by Sleep When Im Dead and then Bad Medicine to end the main set.
Blood on Blood started the encore and then another recent playlist return in
I'll Be There for You followed by Wanted Dead or Alive and Living on a Prayer to
end the show.
