The 2yo race opened
proceedings where first starter Double Pockets stormed home late to take
out the race from Our Miss Bossy with Atomic Hero third. Double
Pockets is by Dubleo from the Way of LIght mare Pocket Fortyniner and is
trained by S Nolen of Murray Bridge and was ridden by J Kah. The
second race featured the grand old performers Sandhill Prince and Bold
Line both twice the age of many of their opponents but it was the 4yo
Almighty Bullet who was successful from Counter Sign with Generous Beau
third. Almighty Bullet is a half brother to the stakeswinners Red
Hot Mama and Hollow Bullet and is from the local stable of John Hyam and
ridden by Paul Gatt.
Streetcar Valour
was too good in the next race running on hard out wide to win easily
from Excell Shoes and Golden Dane. Trained by David Jolly and
ridden by Jason Holder he took his record to 6 starts for 2 wins and 2
placings. Daytona Grey made it two in a row in the next racing
away to win well from Wise Journey with Quick Lover third. From
the stable of L MacDonald and A Gluyas the 3yo by Artie Schiller gavde
Jamie Kah her second win of the day and took his record to 16 starts for
5 wins and 2 placings.
My Uncle Vinny
returned to the winners list in the fifth race with a determined win
over Balzac with Shoctonic third and 11yo Gumnuts in fourth place.
Trained by K Letts-Maund and ridden by J Maund took his record to 58
starts for 8 wins and 15 placings while Sahara Symphony made it three in
a row in defeating Cape Clear with Vima third as SA based trainers
continued to defy the Victorian visitors. By Desert Sun Sahara

from the stable of S Barr and ridden by D Tourneur.

McEvoy took out the next race with Misty Eyes (ridden by V Colgan)
defeating Lady Dynamo with Absalon third. Misty Eyes takes her
record to 14 starts for 5 wins and 5 placings. The feature race of
the day was the Manihi Classic where the sole Victorian winner saw
Planet Voyage from the stable of P Moody make it two in a row leading
throughout from Esprit De Bullet with El Magico third. Planet
Voyage by Exceed and Excel took his record to 15 starts for 5 wins and 7
placings.
The final race went to On Strike trained by John Macmillan and ridden by
Jamie Kah from Impulse Buy with Ego's Good third. On Strike took
his record to 9 starts for 3 wins and 3 placings.
