The day started
with the Leslie Short Hurdle where Dumosa soon settled in front from
Apostle then Zaman followed by Dubai Vengence then Sparkling Victory and
Best of Minx as the capacity field of 14 made their way into the
straight. By the 1600m Dumosa led Zaman and Apostle then Bring
Them On from Sparkling Victory, Dubai Vengence folowed by Backburn.
Over the jump at the 1000m Dumosa led Apostle and Zaman then Bring Them
On as Sparkling Victory landed awkwardly dropping back into the path of
Backburn as both lost momentum as King Triton took off around the
outside. Around the home turn Dumosa led Zaman from King Triton
then Sparkling Victory who rebalanced to continue to run on from Bring
Them On. Over the second last both Dumosa and Zaman had moved wide
on the track as King Triton made a move up the inside. King Triton
hit the front over the last from Dumosa and Zaman with Sparkling Victory
battling on behind them clear of Honour The Force. In the run to
the line King Triton came away to win as he liked from Dumosa who held
off Zaman for second with Sparkling Victory holding fourth from Honour
The Force. King Triton has now had 6 jumps starts for 2 wins and 4
