Winter racing continued at
Morphettville where the first race saw Doubly Sure come away to score a
decisive win racing away to defeat Trenchtown by four lengths with Sky
Pharoah a close third. The 2yo event was next where the promising
Splash of moet continued on her winning way cruising to an easy win by
nearly 7 lengths from Little Critter with first starter Torio Boy third.
Splash of Moet continued the success for Dash for Cash and also the
Adelaide Magic Millions Yearling sale with plans to aim at a stakes race
later in the month.
Victorian Sea Skye proved too strong in the third defeating Silent
Surround with River's Lane third. Sea Skye is by the Nureyev stallion
Stravinsky and is from the Alleged mare Ocean Jewel and while he was
foaled in the Us he was imported to Australia in mid 2007 and commenced
his race career as a late season 3yo. Local horse Last Charge took
out the fourth race by two lengths from Shot In Jest with a further 2
lengths to Stravinsky Code third. Last Charge was first up from a
6 months spell taking hisrecord to 10 starts for 4 wins and 2 second
placings.

Victorian Nodrems won Race 5 for the 3yos while Comearoundsundown
returned to form taking the Fillies and mares hcp and her record to 4
wins from 9 starts with one third. Justify That continued
his solid form to win the Open Hcp from Lilgiggleo while the last race
went to the ever consistent Manganese from Kert with Handsome As third.
