2026 Adelaide Equestrian Festival

High resolution images can be downloaded at ordering after payment is made.  Please note all proofs have been named and are loaded in competitor number order.

Please note the system will ask you for a contact email address - this is used for tracking the order as it is processed from ordering to being posted out on the 'behind the scenes' admin pages. 

Payment is via paypal/credit card after selecting your images please go to the shopping cart and pay through the paypal system - it is only at this stage that the order is put through and processed otherwise they sit in the shopping cart until you finish the order.  Download images should be available once payment is made other prints should be received within a week (if not please contact me to chase up).

If you prefer to order via bank deposit or cheque please favourite the selected images and email me but please ensure that you put a read receipt on your contact email.


PHOTO PROOFS LINK ADELAIDE EQUESTRIAN FESTIVAL

The Adelaide Equestrian Festival got underway with the Racing SA CCI 3 Star competition with the dressage through the day on Thursday. Charlotte Lalak and Fairbanks Casino pn 25.4 penalty points was in first place from Tahlia Pursell and Astro NZPH on 28.8 penalty points with Georgia Elias and Silverwoods Aussie Pride  in third on 29.4 penalty points.  Cross country reorganised the leaderboard with overnight leader Charlotte Lalak and Fairbanks Casino retired after refusals at the water complex with Georgia Elias and Silverwoods Aussie Pride going clear on time and jumping to move up to first place on their dressage score of 29.4 penalty points.  Tahlia Pursell and AStro NZPH recorded 2.4 time penalties to be second on 31.2 penalty point with Chloe Daun and PEC Fairytale in third on their dressage score of 31.5 penalty points  Showjumping and with such a close leaderboard just a rail or two made a huge change on the board.  Georgia Elias and Silverwoods Aussie Pride had just two rails but the 8 points dropped them back to 8th spot overall on 37.4 pealty points.  Chloe Daun and PEC Fairytale went clear jumping but incurred just 2.8 timepenalties which saw them move back to 4th place overall on 34.3 penalty points.  Tahlia Pursell and AStro NZPH went clear to finish on 31.2 taking out the 3 star class by one penalty point from Lamoza Velisha and Ophelie Van Prinseveld who also went clear finishing on 32.2 penalty points.  Olivia Shore and Dreamcatcher incurred just 0.4 of a time fault to finish on 33.4 penalty point and taking out third place and the Racing SA award for top placed thoroughbred.

Oliver Barrett & Sandhills Briar jumped clear to move up from second to first to win the CCI 3 star while Oliver also took out the Young Rider event.

Friday morning saw the CCI-4-S class start the dressage where Shenae Lowings and Bold Venture  took first place on 25.6 penalty points with Emily Cammock and Zealand Blue HSH  in second place on 27.9  penalty points and Andrew Barnett and Oscar Park Deluge  in third on 30.4.  The cross country course changed the leader board with all but one combinations recording time or jumping faults.  Kenya Wilson and Sandros Salute MW took the lead on 37.8 penalty points moving up from 8th while Jess Somerfield and APH New Sensation moved up from 9th to be second on 39.1 penalty points while Carys McCrory and Nemesis were the only ones to go clear in the cross country moving up to third on 39.4 penalty points from 16th.  Showjumping was also crucial in the outcome of the event with overnight leader Kenya Wilson and Sandros Salute MW having several rails and dropping out of contention while Jess Somerfield and APH New Sensation had one rail but finished on 43.1 penalty points to win by 0.2 of a panelty point from Sophia Hill and Tulara Baltango who went clear to finish on 43.3 penalty points moving up from 6th to second overall.  Third place went to Andrew Cooper and Ocean Eight finishing on 44.6 penalty points after one rail to move up from 5th to 3rd overall.

Friday afternoon saw the 5 star class with Madison Seivwright and Waitangi Pinterest doing an amazing test to take the lead on 27 penalty points from Oliver Barrett and Sandhills Briar  on 30.6 penalty points.  Andrew Cooper & Sharvalley Thunder were in third place on 31.5 penalty points  The cross country saw Sam Woods on SS Eight Count go clear and moved up from 6th to first place on 33.2 penalty points while overnight leader Madison Seivwright & Waitangi Pinterest had 6.4 time faults moving back to swecond on 33.4 penalty points while Oliver Barrett and Sandhills Briar had 6.4 time penaltues to drop one spot to third on 35.4 penalty points.  Showjumping made all the difference this year where overnight leader Sam Woods and SS Eight Count had a single rail and 0.4 time penalties to finish on 37.6 in second place as Oliver Barrett and Sandhills Briar went clear to win on 35.4 penalty points and this combination won the 3 star class at the same event in 2025.  Third place went to Andrew Cooper and Sharvalley Thunder on 39.9 penalty points.

 
A number of ex racehorses took part in the event

Bold Venture was bred in South Australia at Oakside Stud and is by Devaraja.  He raced as Hell on Wheels and had three race starts proving too slow and was retired to a new career where he has flourished.

Dreamcatcher was named  Florida Boy but was retired unraced.

Impulsive Ways won a maiden at Tamworth and a Class 1 at the Sunshine Coast in 22 races.

Spirit raced as Muradeem and was retired after 28 starts.

SV Supermaxi (by Redoutes Choice) raced as Supermaxi who started his career in Melbourne where he won a maiden at Geelong before he went to Sydney winning twice and placing from three starts and showed enough ability to be tried at 3yo stakes level where he was unplaced.  IN four starts the following autumn he won at Warwick farm and was placed on three other occasions.  Placed at Sandown in the spring he was off the scene til the following winter where he debuted in Perth with a win over 1000m before two placings then he won the Belmont Newmarket at stakes level.  He had one further placing before being retired in 2020.

Azarax raced as Distribute and was retired after several trials and one race start.

Wu Gok raced as the same and was a successful racehorse with 52 starts for 11 wins and 11 placings and over $800,000 in prizemoney.  Wu Gok won and placed early in his career in Sydney & provincials then went to Brisbane winning at Doomben and Gold Coast.  He returned to Sydney winning at Randwick on several occasions and Rosehill including the Group 3 Premier Cup.  Wu Gok also won the Wyong Cup, Listed Mayors Cup and was third in the Gosford Cup before being retired as a 7yo.

Blazing Django raced as Skynard and had 12 starts in NSW for two placings.

OCean Eight raced as Megamax and had 4 starts all unplaced in Qld.

Nemesis had 17 starts for 1 win and 6 placings in New Zealand

Remington Hill races as Reminder and had one race start in NSW.
